I developed my work through experimentation, iteration, and revision by exploring different approaches to visually represent the symptoms of PMS. Through multiple iterations, I experimented with various layouts, color combinations, typographic styles, and textures to find the most effective way to convey the intended message. As I iterated and revised my designs, I refined my ideas, making adjustments based on feedback and personal reflection. Over time, my ideas evolved as I gained a deeper understanding of the subject matter and experimented with new techniques. This iterative process allowed me to fine-tune my work and ultimately create a more impactful and cohesive final piece.

Contextually, my work sits within both historical and contemporary frameworks across visual arts, culture, and society. Historically, my project can be situated within the broader context of feminist art movements and the ongoing struggle for gender equality. Artists throughout history have used their work to address social and political issues related to women's experiences, challenging societal norms and advocating for change. In a contemporary context, my project contributes to the growing discourse surrounding menstruation and women's health, reflecting a shift towards greater openness and awareness surrounding these topics. Additionally, my use of Letterpress printing techniques connects to a rich tradition of printmaking and graphic design, while the incorporation of tactile elements speaks to the importance of sensory engagement in contemporary art and design practices. Overall, my work is situated within a dynamic intersection of historical legacies, contemporary debates, and artistic traditions, reflecting broader cultural and societal shifts towards inclusivity, empathy, and understanding.
